No switch on mine. No wires either. I can see the far side of the throttle pivoting as I twist the handle, but no switch....
Did you find the brass plug? There is a small round cover on my carb that is held in place by three screws. Just forward of that cover is the brass plug. It should be the most forward thing on the carb (nothing but intake manifold forward of it).
